US National Security Advisor Visit To India

US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan visited New Delhi on June 17. He initiated extensive US-India talks to enhance cooperation and focus on the Global South.

The talks aimed to strengthen Indo-American cooperation amid geopolitical shifts, ollowing the G7 and Ukraine Peace Summits.

The visit focused on developing an initiative on critical and emerging technologies, announced by Modi and Biden at the May 2022 Quad Summit, emphasizing collaboration in semiconductors, AI, defense innovation, and quantum computing.

It aims to foster discussions on diversifying and advancing new technologies and focuses on defense cooperation between GE Aerospace and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.

The visit also addresses geopolitical complications in West Asia, focusing on the delayed India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor due to the Israel-Hamas conflict, a concern for both nations.

The visit introduces new discussion areas and perspectives on aligning interests in West Asia and the Indo-Pacific.
