Chaitra Navratri's seventh day is dedicated to Maa Kalratri, a fearsome manifestation of Goddess Durga.

Kalaratri, an incarnation of Durga, is considered the most formidable and fierce aspect of the Goddess.

In her fierce form, Goddess Kalratri defeated the demon Raktabeej by licking his blood before it could spawn more of him, ensuring his defeat

Known for her daunting presence that instills terror, Kalaratri is believed to be destroyer all forms of evil.

The Goddess is depicted with a dark complexion, four hands holding a cleaver, torch, and in mudras of giving and protecting.

She has three eyes emitting lightning-like rays, flames from her nostrils, and rides a donkey.
