Four international travelers from Myanmar at the Delhi airport tested positive for the Coronavirus infection and sample Genome sequencing has been done.
“Four of the 690 Covid-19 sample tests of the International travelers from Myanmar at Delhi Airport have tested positive for the infection. The infected persons have been admitted at the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital (RML) hospital in Delhi and their samples have been taken for genome sequencing,” people said.
Meanwhile, the advisory has been issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare after which the Ministry of Civil Aviation has commenced random post-arrival testing for International arrivals at Delhi Airport.
Earlier in the day at Bihar’s Gaya four foreign nationals are Covid positive who came to attend the religious preaching of Tibetan Spiritual Leader Dalai Lama.
Civil surgeon Dr. Ranjan Kumar Singh said, at a hotel in Bodh Gaya all four foreigners have been isolated.
“The four foreigners had come to Bodhgaya to attend Dalai Lama’s religious program to be held from December 29 to 31. One of them is from Myanmar and the other three are the residents of Bangkok,” Singh said.
Moreover, from 24 December 2 percent of all passengers arriving at international airports have undergone random post-arrival testing.
However, to review the Covid-19 preparedness, situation Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will hold a virtual meeting with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) at 4 pm on Monday.
