How to Make Your Beard Grow Faster and Stronger

Every man, at some point in his life, wishes for a healthy beard. Most men have attempted to grow one but have given up due to issues such as beard itch or patchy beard.

Despite your best efforts, you may still end up with a patchy beard.

Do you desire a lush beard? Here are some suggestions for healthy beard grooming.

1. Take Care of Your Skin

The foundation of healthy hair is the scalp. If you take care of your skin, your hair will grow longer and faster. You may separate hair and skin care, but they are inextricably linked to your beard.

A good skincare routine is necessary. Healthy facial hair growth requires healthy skin. Keeping your skin clean will aid in the growth of your beard.

2. Minoxidil-Based Beard Growth Serums

Minoxidil is a hair treatment that is available over the counter and is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The product, which comes in foam or serum form, promotes hair growth. Minoxidil stimulates beard growth while also treating hair thinning and scalp baldness. This may promote thicker hair growth by revitalising and expanding hair follicles. Thai scientists investigated the use of minoxidil on the face. Minoxidil serums, according to the study, can be applied to the face to encourage and enhance beard hair growth. Minoxidil was more effective than placebo at accelerating beard growth. If you want a minoxidil-based beard growth serum, try Man Matters’ BeardMax 5% Minoxidil beard growth serum, which is clinically tested and chemical free.

3. Take Beard Supplements

Beard growth is influenced by two androgens: testosterone and dihydrotestosterone (DHT). As a result, supplements containing beard growth vitamins, biotin, and creatine, such as Beard gummies, aid in overall hair growth. One study found that these supplements increase testosterone levels, which leads to the conversion of testosterone into DHT. Together, they stimulate and improve facial hair growth. Dormant beard follicles awaken as testosterone levels rise, resulting in thicker, denser hair growth. D-aspartic acid stimulates the release of a hormone that aids in testosterone production. Of course, this can promote natural beard growth by making your beard denser and filling in patches faster

4. Use a Derma Roller

Microneedling is a blood flow stimulation technique that involves pricking your face with a series of tiny needles. Derma rollers and other micro-needling devices effectively reduce patchy beards on the face. The beard roller’s tiny needles promote blood circulation and beard growth. By derma rolling, you can strengthen your facial hair’s growth cycle. A better blood circulation increases the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the hair follicles. This promotes the growth of a thick and healthy beard.

5. Grow It Out

In terms of growth, a patchy beard can be filled in by simply allowing the hair to grow longer. Because you keep your moustache long while growing in your cheeks, you may end up with a disproportionate beard in some areas. Your hair curly and your patchy beard will determine how prone you are to this problem. These spots, however, will gradually fade beneath your beard’s nest with a little extra volume and curl. Simply wait a few weeks, months, or years to see what happens.

6. Shape Your Beard

Sculpting your beard, like regular haircuts, encourages hair growth in the desired direction and style, whether it’s a natural-looking long beard or a super-manicured goatee. A healthy beard is shaped by leaving some areas fuller and others shorter.

As needed, use beard scissors to trim stray hairs and split ends. As you define the shape of your beard and trim it to the desired length, use a beard trimmer with multiple guards, starting with the longest and progressing to shorter ones.

7. Manage Stress

Last but not least, you must manage stress and sleep well for your damaged skin cells to repair themselves. This will promote beard growth. Exercise relieves stress by increasing blood circulation, which promotes hair growth.

Over to you

Make an effort to live a healthy lifestyle. Exercise relieves stress and encourages hair growth. Likewise, incorporating a healthy diet into your daily routine will be advantageous. You can also improve the appearance of your beard by following a healthy diet and exercising regularly.

In addition to these options, you should consult your doctor if you continue to have patchy hair growth anywhere on your body.

10 Simple Rules for Washing Your Face – According to a Dermatologist!

Although it may appear simple, washing your face requires time and attention. Doing it correctly can mean the difference between glowing skin and an acne breakout.

Many people believe that you should only wash your face to remove makeup or when it appears dirty. In reality, it is recommended that you wash your face twice a day.

However, the number of times you wash your face may be less important than the manner in which the job is completed. A face cleansing routine is essential regardless of your skin type, texture, or current condition.

Are you ready for a fresh start? Dermatologists recommend the following 10 face washing steps.

1. Wash your hands clean first

Washing your face with dirty hands can make matters worse by pushing dirt deeper into your skin pores. So wash your hands thoroughly with soap or handwash.

2. Get the make-up off before cleansing

A gentle cleanser may not be able to remove the makeup you applied earlier. So, before you begin cleansing, remove your makeup (using a makeup remover).

3. Wash Your Face Now

Your face is exposed to a lot throughout the day, from pollution to dirty hands. Making time to cleanse your face at least twice a day is therefore essential, once in the morning and once before bed. A salicylic acid face wash, which has anti-inflammatory properties that soothe inflammation and pimples on the face, is one of the most effective cleansers you can use. It will also help to reduce fine lines effectively.

4. Ensure The Right Water Temperature

Using warm water could cause skin tightening, which would be counterproductive. Make sure the water you’re using is lukewarm. Lukewarm water is warm enough to loosen dirt and sebum without drying out your skin.

5. Apply Moisturiser Soon

The longer you wait to apply moisturiser, the drier the skin becomes. To avoid unnecessary dehydration, apply moisturiser immediately after drying your skin.

6. Massaging The Skin

Allow enough time for the skin to expel impurities. A minute of massaging your face can also stimulate your lymphatic system, increasing oxygen and blood circulation.

7. If Used A Face Mask

Most face masks recommend applying them to a cleansed face so that the ingredients can fully penetrate your skin. So, once you’ve finished with the face mask, you can move on to the cleansing part.

8. Do Not Neglect Your Neck

Make sure you include your neck in your daily skincare regimen as it is often where signs of ageing appear first.

9. Clean Face Towels

Reusing the same towel without washing it can spread bacteria from your body to your face, which can contribute to acne. So get some fresh towels to pat dry your face.

10. Be Gentle

Washing and drying your face gently will make your skin feel better and more refreshed. Avoid excessive lathering and scrubbing.

Over to You

All of this is to say that washing is only the first step in maintaining the natural state of your skin.

The rest is dependent on all of the other serums, moisturisers, mists, and face masks — the list is endless. Furthermore, the food you eat, how you exercise, and your stress levels all have an impact.

Identifying your cleansing objectives is the best way to determine how you should wash your face. Do you want it to be simple, one step per day? Determine your limitations, such as skin type, water cleanliness, and price range, and proceed from there.

Congress President Bid: Tharoor asserts support from the whole party

Shashi Tharoor claims party's support

Congress leader, Shashi Tharoor asserted he has the support of party workers from across the country in his bid for the Congress President post. There are still speculations on the nomination of Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s bid for the top post of the party. In the midst of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Tharoor also met Rahul Gandhi in Kerala and said that was a courtesy call as Rahul was in his hometown.

According to Tharoor, several people from all around the nation have asked him to run for the party’s presidency. “You will see the support I enjoy when I submit my nomination paper. I will be in the fray if I get support from party workers from the majority of the states”, said Tharoor in an interview.

He collected his nomination form for the Congress election post last Sunday. He said he was interested in fighting the poll but the picture will be clear after 30th September, the last day of submitting nomination papers.

The Congress leader said he has the support of the Nehru-Gandhi family in fighting the polls. He had discussed the matter with Sonia Gandhi, Rahul and Priyanka “and all three have directly told me that they don’t have any issues”. He also claimed the support of party workers in Kerala in his bid to fight the polls.

A Look at COVID-19 Vaccination Status and More

COVID-19 has been a significant concern in the United States since its outset, like in other countries. The virus has killed millions of Americans and sickened many more. Because of a lack of preparation or much knowledge about this virus outbreak initially, there was an atmosphere of tremendous anger, confusion, and uncertainty. Some tried to downplay the virus risk and didn’t do much to prevent it. As a result, many Americans felt more helpless. The adverse effects of the virus were visible not just in people’s physical and mental health but in the country’s economy and social conditions. However, things improved with time as everyone came together to fight this. The introduction of effective vaccines and boosters, apart from continuous guidance from health authorities regarding precautions and treatments, has been a game changer.

However, the COVID-19 scare has not vanished as the new subvariants – BA.4 and BA.5 – continue to affect people. The infection’s severity is not so high as before because of vaccination and boosters. There is enough evidence that fully vaccinated and boosted people don’t experience severe illness after catching the infection. Still, it makes some people question the efficacy of the vaccine. But the constantly mutating virus tends to escape immunity; hence, the infection risk is still there. Nevertheless, more targeted vaccines can tackle this issue. The Health and Human Services Department (HHS) informs that the US would buy Moderna’s and Pfizer’s 66 and 105 million doses for the fall vaccination drive.

Despite every effort, people are hesitant about vaccines. Although kid vaccines are available, the adoption rate is low. Even many adults are not ready for vaccination. Some places express their displeasure with COVID rules and regulations also. As per MyBioSource’s survey of 3,442 people, people in places like Montana (31% more) and South Dakota (36% more) have increasingly become against COVID measures implemented by the government.

Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 variants

These two virus strains have been responsible for the sudden summer wave of hospitalizations in the US. It causes enough worries among scientists and health leaders that the infection rate can be much higher in the fall. They fear that the immunity developed from previous vaccines can weaken, and the risk of infection can be higher as people start spending more time indoors, perfect for the COVID virus to find its new hosts. BA.5 has caused up to 82% of new COVID cases in the country, and BA.4 forms about 13% of them. The government reports a minimum of 126,000 new infections daily, per the CDC records. However, it can be much higher in real-time than the reported figures because of the accessibility to at-home kits for COVID tests. These test details don’t reach the health agencies.

The existing vaccines target only the original COVID strain that occurred over two years back. Since the new strains have considerably mutated, those vaccines don’t provide durable support against infections. People who completed their vaccination and took two booster shots are still vulnerable to these variants. The only relief is that the severity of the illness and the fatality rate has improved. That’s why health leaders and scientists advise updating the vaccines to target these subvariants effectively. But this doesn’t ensure that it will be a full-proof approach because the virus evolves much faster, and no one knows what shape and form it will assume by the time the fall season is here.

COVID-19 vaccine status in the US

As per the latest updates, 79% of the population (about 261,591,428 people) has taken a minimum of one shot. On the other hand, 67%, or 223,035,566 people, have completed all the doses. And nearly 32% of the people have obtained one booster shot as of August 2022. The country has distributed 803,252,035 doses, of which 75% have been used. If you look at the age-wise segmentation, data suggest that 95% of people in the 65-plus age group have obtained at least one dose, and 92% are fully vaccinated. 94% of people aged 50 to 64 have taken their first shot, and 82% have completed their vaccination. Those 25 to 49 years form about 83% of the population receiving their first dose, and 70% of them are completely immunized.

The fully vaccinated population rate drastically decreases if you check people in the age group of 18 to 24, representing only about 65%. The vaccination rate among kids is even lower despite all the efforts made by health experts to convince parents about the necessity of vaccination. Only 38% of 5 to 11 years old have taken their first shots, and 6% of those in the range of 2 to 4 years. When it comes to anyone under two years, the acceptance rate is even weaker, with only 3% of the population getting its first dose.

COVID-19 may not be as threatening as it was during its initial onset. But the risk of infection has not gone yet. Vaccines and boosters have shown enough promise in keeping one’s health safe and protected against the virus’s severity. Hence, it’s better to revisit any decision once.
