Haryana Legislative Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta has constituted the committees of the Legislative Assembly for the year 2024-25 under the rules related to procedure and conduct of business of the Legislative Assembly. Of these, the Privilege Committee will remain in existence till the formation of a new committee. Following the instructions of the Speaker of the Haryana Legislative Assembly, the Legislative Assembly Secretariat has issued a notification in this regard and sent it for publication in the extraordinary issue of the Haryana Government Gazette. The notification has also been forwarded to all MLAs, Chief Secretary of the State Government, Advocate General, Administrative Secretary, all Heads of Departments, Principal Accountant General of Audit and Accounts and Entitlement for information.
Varun Chaudhary and MLAs including Ram Kumar Kashyap, Narendra Gupta, Bhavya Bishnoi, Amit Sihag, Surendra Panwar, Jogi Ram Sihag, Ram Niwas, Randhir Singh Golan have been appointed as Chairman and members of Public Accounts Committee while
MLA Kamlesh Dhanda has been appointed chairperson of the Estimates Committee and MLAs including Ishwar Singh, Rao Dan Singh, Jaiveer Singh, Gopal Kanda, Pramod Kumar Vij, Rajesh Nagar, Meva Singh and Balraj Kundu will be members of this committee.
It pertinent to mention that Gyan Chand Gupta will be the ex-officio chairman of the Rules Committee of the Legislative Assembly. Leader of Opposition Bhupendra Singh Hooda, MLA Dushyant Chautala, Kiran Choudhary, Geeta Bhukkal, Abhay Singh Chautala, Ghanshyam Das Arora, Sudhir Kumar Singla will be members of this committee. Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Ranbir Gangwa has been named ex-officio chairperson for the housing committee. MLAs Harvindra Kalyan, Aftab Ahmed, Ram Kumar Gautam, Randhir Singh Golan will be members of this committee.
MLA Ghanshyam Das Arora has been appointed the chairperson of the petition committee while MLAs including Jagbir Singh Malik, Geeta Bhukkal, Shakuntala Khatak, Leela Ram, Om Prakash Yadav, Laxman Singh Yadav, Ram Niwas, Sombir Sangwan have been included as members. The committee related to local bodies and Panchayati Raj institutions will be headed by MLA Om Prakash Yadav. MLAs Ghanshyam Saraf, Jagdish Nair, Bishan Lal Saini, Ram Kumar Gautam, Neeraj Sharma, Surendra Panwar, Ram Karan, Rakesh Daulatabad have been made members in this committee.
The committee on public undertakings will be headed by MLA and former Home Home Minister Anil Vij while MLAs namely Duda Ram, Bharat Bhushan Batra, Pradeep Chaudhary, Dr. Krishna Lal Middha, Sudhir Kumar Singla, Sita Ram Yadav, Chiranjeev Rao, Kuldeep Vats have been included as members. Satya Prakash will chair the committee for the welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes. MLAs Anup Dhanak, Laxman Napa, Rajesh Nagar, Renu Bala, Sheeshpal Singh, Chiranjeev Rao, Ram Karan, Dharampal Gonder have been made members in this committee.
Besides, MLA Anil Vij has been appointed chairperson of the committee on violation of etiquette norms and contemptuous behavior of government officials towards members of the Haryana Assembly. MLAs Kiran Chaudhary, Kamlesh Dhanda, Bharat Bhushan Batra, Pramod Kumar Vij, Praveen Dagar, Jogi Ram Sihag, Shamsher Singh Gogi, Subhash Gangoli, Nayan Pal Rawat have been made members.
Similarly, Aftab Ahmed will be the chairperson of the committee formed regarding government assurances. MLAs Rajendra Singh June, Duda Ram, Sitaram Yadav, Devendra Singh Babli, Amarjeet Dhanda, Balbir Singh, Subhash Gangoli, Dharampal Gondar have been named members in this committee.
The Subordinate Legislative Committee will be headed by MLA Laxman Singh Yadav while MLAs including Jagbir Singh Malik, Abhay Singh Chautala, Jaiveer Singh, Ghanshyam Saraf, Sandeep Singh, Amit Sihag, Induraj, and Advocate General of Haryana have been appointed the members of the same.
Further, MLA Deepak Mangla has been appointed the chairman of the subject committee related to public health, irrigation, electricity and public works (buildings and roads) while MLAs namely Mohammad Ilyas, Vinod Bhayana, Leela Ram, Dharam Singh Chhokkar, Dr. Krishna Lal Middha, Praveen Dagar, Maman Khan, Shamsher Singh Gogi have been made members.
Likewise former cabinet minister and MLA Devendra Singh Babli has been named chairperson in the subject committee related to education, technical education, vocational education, medical education and health services while MLAs namely Jagdish Nair, Naina Singh Chautala, Nirmal Rani, Laxman Napa, Renu Bala, Shaili, Sheeshpal Singh, Nayan Pal Rawat have been made members. The Privilege Committee will be headed by MLA Sandeep Singh. MLAs Bishan Lal Saini, Harvindra Kalyan, Vinod Bhayana, Deepak Mangala, Satya Prakash, Varun Chaudhary, Amarjeet Dhanda, Kuldeep Vats, Sombir Sangwan have been named members.
