Nearly ten passengers lost their lives, and many others were injured when a bus from Vrindavan caught fire on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway near Nuh, Haryana, late Friday. The injured were transported to Nuh Medical College for treatment.

According to PTI, a passenger reported hearing a cracking sound followed by a burning smell before the fire started. A two-wheeler driver alerted the bus driver, prompting them to stop.

Passengers swiftly disembarked, but the fire rapidly consumed the bus, reducing it to ashes within minutes, as recounted by another passenger. The police reportedly arrived three hours after the incident.

Haryana’s Nuh MLA Aftab Ahmed expressed his condolences, describing it as a “very painful, sad, and heart-wrenching incident.” He mentioned that the victims, including elderly people, women, and children, were returning from Vrindavan. Another passenger told ANI that 10 people had died and that there were 64 individuals on the bus.
