JANHVI WANTS TO DO BIOPIC ON LIFE OF ARUNIMA SINHA

NEW DELHI: Inspired by the life of mountain climber Arunima Sinha, actress Janhvi Kapoor expressed her desire of portraying the role of Arunima’s on screen. She has done a biopic on the life of Gunjan Saxena named ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’ and now wants to be a part of another biopic.

On Monday, Janhvi visited the capital to attend a felicitation ceremony for the Paralympians for their historic performance at the Tokyo Olympics. At the event, the actress greeted several sportspersons and interacted with them. Janhvi even expressed her desire of portraying the role of Arunima on screen.

“I have met Arunima Sinha and her story is very inspiring. I would love to play her on-screen,” she said. Janhvi had opted for an elegant saree for the event and looked stunning. Arunima is the first female amputee who successfully scaled the mighty Mount Everest. She is also a former national-level volleyball player. Her journey has been inspiring and Janhvi wants to bring it to the big screen.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Janhvi was last seen in ‘Roohi’.Her upcoming projects include Anand L Rai’s ‘Good Luck Jerry’, the shoot for which she wrapped up in March. Other than that, Janhvi will be seen in ‘Dostana 2’ and is reportedly a part of Karan Johar’s period drama ‘Takht’, alongside bigwigs like Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and more.
