Farmers belonging to many states are sitting on protest against the contentious farm-laws for the last ten months and issue still remains pending as both factions, the government and the farmers have not reached any conclusion so far even after talk of a couple of rounds. In this series, Captain Amarinder Singh, the Congress stalwart and the chief Minister of Punjab’s new statement led to a heated political climate between the Punjab and Haryana government. Regarding the issue, he had uttered that the farmers continue to sit on agitation on at least 113 sites in the Punjab which is not fair as the conducting protest and agitation by the farmers in the state is most likely to cause economic loss. So in wake of this, the farmers should sit on agitation in Delhi and Haryana.

In reaction to this, the BJP led government and the party leaders including the state party president OP Dhankhar took a dig at Captain saying that the statement of the Punjab CM clearly revealed that the whole agitation is politically motivated. The Congress has been provoking the farmers to agitate against the farm-laws for political mileage. Besides, it shows that it was his personal agenda and vendetta to gain political benefits. In this series it is worth mentioning that Bandaru Datta Dattatrey, the governor of Haryana said on September 11, 2021 here that dialogue is the only solution and way to reach any destination and the government is quite positive towards sorting out the issue.

In wake of the ongoing political scenario, everyone is eyeing on the reaction of the leaders of the Haryana Congress and the party continues to say that by bringing these laws, the BJP led government is leaving no stone unturned to put the farmers in a state of disparity

Further, a question continues to surface among the farmers and their union leaders sitting on agitations whether the political leaders should be allowed on protest sites or not. Apart from this, the issue pertaining to the share of Satluj Yamuna Link (SYL) water between both states has not been sorted and is pending even after decades.
