Iloilo City, QC to ink sisterhood pact
THE proposed sisterhood pact between the cities of Iloilo and Quezon was approved by the respective City Council of the two local government units (LGUs).
This was confirmed by Councilor Nielex Tupas, chair of the committee on domestic and foreign relations and proponent of the sister city agreement.
Tupas said they are just waiting for the copy of memorandum of agreement (MOA) which is being finalized by Quezon City government.
Upon receiving the MOA, Tupas said he will sponsor a resolution
authorizing Mayor Jerry Treñas to sign the agreement in behalf of
Iloilo City.
Tupas said he will request the Quezon City government to help establish
a recreation center for the youth and some school buildings. (PNA)
