Funds for salaries of Bantay
Dagat/Gubat workers released

DEPARTMENT of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Regional Technical Director for Forestry Livino B. Duran said that payments for salaries and wages of Bantay Dagat/Bantay Gubat/extension officers involved in Comprehensive Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (CLEEP) under the livelihood program of Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in 2009 can now be claimed in their respective PENRO offices regionwide.

Duran, speaking in behalf of Regional Executive Director Julian D. Amador, disclosed that upon receipt of the fund from the DBM, this was subsequently released to all PENR offices regionwide for payment to respective Bantay Gubat workers assigned in their respective areas.

He also appealed to all Bantay Gubat workers to help the DENR by being vigilant in monitoring all areas in their field of assignment in preventing the occurrence of grass/brush fires specially in our reforestation projects.
